We are currently seeking bookkeeping intern.
This opportunity is supported by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) and is funded through the Workforce Development Program. To be eligible for this internship, candidates must not have worked in the field of study before, must not have previously participated in a NOHFC internship program, and must be legally entitled to work in Canada. This is an opportunity for a recent graduate who is a new entrant into the work force or a transitioning to a new career or a new field.
Through this internship you will get hands on bookkeeping experience within our Small Business Group supporting a dynamic team and entrepreneurial clients. While our internship program runs for 52 weeks, successful interns may be offered a full-time, permanent job upon completion of the program.
Qualifications:
– Post secondary diploma in accounting, finance or administration preferred
– Experience with Sage
– Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Windows and Outlook email
– Must be flexible, accurate, excellent written and oral communication, dependable, reliable and organized
Duties to Include:
– Payroll
– Accounts Payable
– Accounts Receivable
– Government Filings (HST, Payroll)
– Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
– Filing and Email
– Other Administrative Tasks
